This was a LinkedIn rant but felt it prudent to post it on our blog too.
A bit of a rant here but this situation is frustrating and i wanted to highlight one of the customers we've onboarded this week, we're seeing more and more cases of big name ISPs basically ripping off your small businesses, using uncertainty & confusion with regards to the PSTN switch off to force unsuitable & quiet frankly ridiculous "solutions" upon business owners.
A chance meeting had Arlo's owners ask my opinion on the "solution" they were being quoted by their ISP was just silly and was not suitable for their business at all. For the record, if you've got a restaurant or retail business then no, you don't need Teams Voice for your phone system, and you certainly don't need 5-year contracts with CPI +3.9% each year on products that are going down!
We're happy to give advice to anyone who has questions regarding the PSTN switch off, what it means for your business and what you need, we list all of our prices on our website for the products we sell and we're up front about what it includes, for instance, our business broadband comes with our digital voice line free or charge, that's all you need if you're moving from an analogue phoneline & FTTC, all you do is plug your existing phone into the back of our router, you get to keep your existing telephone number too.
I hope this rant serves some use to someone, if only for some comic relief or a break in the ever growing amount of mind numbing ChatGPT produced content on this site.
